My Top 3 Most Memorable Moments of 2011

I was watching SportsCenter and they were doing all this year in review stuff, so I figured I should write a blog about the most memorable sports moments I had in 2011. I'm talking about the moments that made me jump out of seat and anytime I see a highlight of it, I still get chills. Here are my top 3.

3. USA Women's World Cup game vs Brazil

I could watch any sport when the USA is competing against another country. At the beginning of the World Cup I had no intentions of watching any games, but I got hooked (mostly because of Alex Morgan). The game against Brazil was only the Quarter-final but it was the best soccer match I watched all year. Abby Wambach's header in the 122nd matched Landon Donavan's goal in the Men's World Cup against Algeria. Thrilling stuff, watch the link.

2. Kemba's Game Winner vs Pitt

CARDIAC KEMBA. When Jimmy Calhoun reacts like he did, you know it was a big moment. I got chills just typing it into Youtube. Kemba just shatters McGhee's ankles. I could watch this video 100 times a day. ESPN better be working on a movie called, 5 Nights in the Garden. This will be the one lasting memory I have of the entire amazing UConn run to the National Championship. This was extremely close to being my number moment of the year.

1. BOSTON BRUINS WIN LORD STANLEY

There are not many better things in sports than playoff hockey. Two months of all out effort. Every single game you are at the edge of your seat. The Bruins run was great every step of the way. The first round the B's lost the first two games at home to the Canadiens. P.K. Subban just flopping all of the ice trying to get calls and then they came back to win the series in 7. The Flyers series was a joke. The Bruins swept the Flyers and outscored them 20-7, just the revenge they needed from the collapse in 2010. in the Eastern Conference Finals they had another 7 game series vs the Lightning. This series saw the emergence of Tyler Seguin Game 7 was a 1-0 battle won by Nathan Horton. The Stanley Cup was the greatest seven games of hockey I've ever watched. The Vancouver Canucks became my most hated team. The Sedin Sisters, Robbie Luongo, the list goes on and on. Game 1 the Bruins lose 1-0 with 18 seconds left, while Alexandre Burrows bites off Patrice Bergeron's finger and doesn't get a penalty or suspended. Then in Game 2 he has 2 goals and an assist, including the game winning goal in OT. Game 3 saw the entire series change when Aaron Rome knocked out Nathan Horton. The Bruins went onto win the game 8-1, as Robbie Luongo began to crack under the pressure. Game 4, Luongo got pulled in a 4-0 Bruins win. Game 5 the Canucks won another game 1-0, on a late goal in the 3rd. With their backs against the wall the Bruins won at home in Game 6, 5-2 as Luongo got pulled again. Game 7 was the perfect end to a great season. Timmy Thomas shutout the Canucks to complete his amazing playoffs and season. Nose Face Killah and Patrice both scored two goals to win 4-0. Vancouver then lost their minds and burnt down the city. While I headed to the Parade in Boston. One of the best experiences in my life.

I'm sure there will be more moments like these in 2012, hopefully the Steelers make the list. Have a Great New Years people.

NFL Week 17 Picks

Happy New Year people. Hopefully you enjoyed the celebration because 2013 might not happen (by might not, I mean won't). Week 17 always a bittersweet week for NFL fans. If your team is moving onto the playoffs you have more to look forward to but 20 teams season will end Sunday. However if you are a Browns fan you get to look forward to not watching terrible football until next September, so I guess its a win win situation in Cleveland. The picks this week are pretty tough to make because teams headed to the playoffs have different motivations of how they want to play. Either way I think I'll have a good week.

Lions 27, Packers 21 --- Aaron Rodgers probably is not going to play. The Packers have home field advantage and their only goal for this game is don't get anyone hurt. The Lions on the other hand need to win to be the 5 seed in the NFC, which means having to go to New York or Dallas rather than New Orleans or San Fran.

Vikings 20, Bears 14 --- Even without Adrian Peterson I think the Vikings finish the year on a two game win streak, mostly because the Bears have already called it a season. They are 0-5 since they lost Jay Cutler and most of the games have been big losses. The Vikings will be the more motivated team in week 17.

Patriots 34, Bills 24 --- I sure hope Tommy Brady can play with his hurt left shoulder. It sure would be a shame if he doesn't because the Pats need to win to clinch home field advantage. They will win even if Tommy can't tough it out though because the Bills are 1-6 on the road and the Patriots are 6-1 at the Big Razor Blade.

Dolphins 24, Jets 16 --- Even if the Jets pull off the win, they will most likely miss the playoffs anyway. The Dolphins have gone 5-3 in their past 8 games and will relish to chance to officially knock their division rivals out of the playoffs.

Colts 17, Jaguars 14 --- The most interesting meaningless game of the week. All Dan Orlovsky does is win, well for the past two weeks, so I think the Colts are going to play hard even though they probably shouldn't. I don't think the fans of either team would be upset with a loss, especially the Colts since they will have the number 1 pick in the draft.

Titans 21, Texans 20 --- It's hard to determine what the Texans will do this game. They have the 3rd seed in the AFC locked up, so they won't want any players to suffer an injury but they also don't want to enter the franchises first playoff game on a three game skid. This match up could also happen next week if the Titans sneak into the playoffs.

49ers 23, Rams 3 --- The Niners need to win to clinch a first round bye so they will be motivated to beat the offensively challenged Rams. In week 13 the Rams got shutout by the 49ers, 23-0 and are coming off a shutout to the Steelers, 27-0. St.Louis has only scored 166 points this season. The Alamo Bowl on Thursday between Baylor and Washington had 123 combined points. They could a certain QB from Stanford, or trade the pick for some weapons.

Cardinals 16, Seahawks 14 --- Both teams lost week to end their playoff chances but both teams have had strong second halves of the season. The Seahawks have won 5 of 7. While the Cardinals have won 6 of 8, including 3 straight home wins, which is why I give them the edge in this game.

Saints 27, Panthers 21 --- First off I like the Panthers +9. I say this because they have won 4 of 5 and lost to the Saints by 3 in the first meeting this season. Also the Saints will have an eye on the 49ers at Rams game. If the 49ers appear to have the victory in hand, it would make sense to pull Drew BREEEES and other key starters to avoid injury since they would then be the 3 seed in the NFC and would need to be ready to play next week.

Falcons 41, Bucs 20 --- The Falcons are going to want to bounce back after getting demolished by the Saints on Monday night. They have the right team coming to the Georgia Dome to make that happen. The Bucs have lost 9 straight and the last four being by an average of 23.5 points. I hope Raheem Morris doesn't lose his job but he most likely win. He reminds me of Mike Tomlin, I think he needs more time to improve the team but if it's not with the Bucs, I think he will be successful with another team in the future.

Ravens 23, Bengals 21 --- I wanted to pick the Bengals, I hope they win. But they are 0-3 against the two teams that matter in the AFC North (another shot a the Brownies in this post). The Ravens have not been the best on the road this year, only 3-4, but they need the game to win the North and clinch a bye which they will need if they want to make a run to the Super Bowl.

Steelers 21, Browns 6 --- The Browns have not scored more than 14 points vs the Steelers since 2007. The Steelers have not let a team score 10 points in the past 5 weeks and over the last 3 weeks they have let up a combined 6 points. The Black and yellow will sweep the series for the second start year.

Chiefs 24, Broncos 21 --- I know I'm picking against Tebow for the first time, maybe I'm doing it so he wins, but I think the Chiefs go to Denver and play inspired football behind Kyle Orton. The Chiefs defense is solid and the last time they played Tebow he only completed two passes. The last two weeks haven't been the best for Tebow but if there is any Tebow magic left he needs to pull it out this week.

Raiders 31, Chargers 24 --- Another tough game to predict because who knows how the Chargers will play. They got eliminated last week in a loss to the Lions. Will they be motivated to knock the hated Raiders out of the playoffs or are they already making tee times for the off season. The Raiders have lost 3 of 4 so they will probably let the Chargers hang around in the game. I think the Raiders get the win and the AFC West crown.

Eagles 31, Redskins 17 --- The Dream Team should head into next season on a 4 game win streak but a disappointing 8-8 record. Even though I'm not a big fan of Andy Reid, I don't think he should be fired. He has done plenty for the Eagles and deserves another year. Mike Shanahan however should get the boot. He is 11-20 in his first two seasons as the Redskins coach. If this guy didn't have John Elway back in the 90's people would realize he is an awful coach, but everyone is blinded by the rings.

Giants 37, Cowboys 31 --- The Giants will win the NFC East because Eli Manning will carry them to it. The is basically a playoff game, and I trust the team with the better QB. If Eli wasn't on the Giants this year they may only have 3 wins. Plus Tony Romo's hand is bruised and he has never been great in January games. Also bet on over 46. The last 5 DAL/NYG games have all scored 55 points or more.

My Playoff Seeds
AFC --- 1. NE 2. BAL 3. HOU 4. OAK 5. PIT 6. CIN (who get in with a loss even though the Titans won)
NFC --- 1. GB 2. SF 3. NO 4. NYG 5. DET 6. ATL

It should be an interesting New Years Day of NFL action

Week 16 Recap

Well I picked the Jets for some reason. They looked awful. Other than Revis not one player impressed me, sorry Jet fans. However I highly suggest tailgating at MetLife Stadium. I'll recap my experience first.

Tailgating --- We got there at 8 am. No traffic on the drive in and we had our choice of parking spots. Had to park next to the porta potty, clutch move. Set up the grill, charcoal (like real men do). Started drinking around 8:30, threw around pigskin a little. The highlight of the tailgate was the Jet fans that parked next to us. They challenged us to a game of flip cup, lets just say it didn't go well for them. I then received a solo cup of Jet Juice or Nutcracker. It was a strong, strong beverage.

In the Stadium --- I love Jet fans. They guys behind us hated everyone on the team. Rexy was a fat bum. Shotty needed to be fired every play. Sanchez was terrible. The only player they liked was Revis. They even told Fireman Ed to shut up and sit down. It was great. There is nothing like being in a stadium with die hard fans when their team isn't doing well.

Anyway onto how I'm DUMB and how I'm SMART for week 16...

I'm DUMB --- My two upset specials both lost. The Chargers got smoked by the Lions and the Seahawks couldn't pull of the upset over the 49ers. Congrats to the Lions on making the Playoffs for the first time since 1999/

I'm SMART --- Patriots win by 3 over the Dolphins. I had a feeling the Phins would hang tough with the Pats, even though they blew a 17 point lead it was a close one. Thankfully I bet on them +9.5. Next week will be an interesting game when the Jets go to Miami in a must win game.

I'm DUMB --- The Bills circled the wagons. C.J Spiller wasn't contained, 111 yards and a TD. Tebow threw 4 picks, two returned for TD's. Not the best day for the Broncos, who now need to win next week to win the West,

I'm SMART --- Eagles over Cowboys. Sure the Dream Team got eliminated since the Giants won but a 20-7 win over the Cowboys is a good step towards next season. It also sets up a play in game next week against the Cowboys and Giants.

I'm DUMB --- I already mentioned the Jets. The Vikings beat the Redskins even though Adrian Peterson busted his knee. That injury looked ugly. Chiefs kept the Raiders alive. And the Ravens let the Browns hang around, while the Steelers threw up a 27-0 win.

I'm SMART --- Panthers won big, watch out for them next year. Cam Newton is going to be one of the best. Bengals got a win and now control their playoff hopes. Titans stay alive with a win over the Jags, but they need a lot, and I mean a lot of help to get in the playoffs.

The next week is going to be a football fan heaven. Bowl games are starting to get interesting. Some very good match-ups, Florida State vs Notre Dame being the marquee game. Then the NFL on Sunday. Ravens at Bengals is huge. The Ravens need the game to clinch the North and the Bengals need to win to get in. Jets at Dolphins, must win for Sexy Rexy and his boys. I'm not sure if they have it in them to win but it will be interesting. Cowboys at Giants, basically a playoff game in week 17. Broncos and Raiders fighting for the West title. It's going to be a great week of Football. Before all of that enjoy the holidays with your loved ones. Thanks for reading people.

NFL Week 16 Picks

I had to get the picks done Friday because I am going to the Giants at Jets game tomorrow and I didn't want to disappoint my loyal readers, all 3 to 4 of you. I still don't know which team I'm going to root for, I think Fireman Ed may sway me with a few J-E-T-S chants though. First off how about Dan Orlovsky and the streaking Colts. Seriously Orlovsky looked very good last night against a solid defense. I'm not saying he's gonna be starter for another team but he is a very good backup. The Texans are also going to be a one and done team in the Playoffs unless they get the Bungals in the first round. Onto the picks and this week I'm not holding back. Sticking to my gut. Read it, Don't read it, Up to you.

Broncos 20, Bills 16 --- The Bills have lost 7 in a row. I can't possibly pick them to circle the wagons against the Broncos. The Broncos should be able to contain C.J Spiller and limit Ryan Fitzpatrick's success. Tebow will be able to put of enough points to keep the Broncos on top of the West.

Bengals 17, Cardinals 14 --- The Cards have won 6 of 7 but traveling to Cincy in December is a little different than their last 3 games in sunny Arizona. I think the Bengals get a much needed win to stay in the wild card race.

Titans 27, Jaguars 17 --- The Jags won the first meeting in week 1 and the Titans are off the worst loss of their season. However they are at home and the Jags are only 1-6 this year on the road. The Titans most likely aren't going to get into the playoffs but a loss this week officially ends their season.

Chiefs 28, Raiders 16 --- I like the Chiefs for some reason. Their defense is tough and now with Kyle Orton they at least have a stable QB, no offense Tyler Palko. The Raiders have lost 3 straight and their sink appears to be sinking. I also want to see Carson Palmer miss the playoffs just the Bungals.

Patriots 34, Dolphins 31 --- The Dolphins have been playing very well after their 0-7 start but the Patriots still need to win to get the number 1 seed. I think the Phins benefit from the fact that New England feels like October for some reason. Sorry to hate on the Patriots defense for another week but if they can't force turnovers, they aren't good. Matt Moore has only thrown 2 interceptions in his last 7 games.

Steelers 12, Rams 9 --- I'm almost thankful that I am going to miss the Steelers game this week, I am going to tape it but it could be an ugly one. If Charlie Batch can just manage the game well enough, the Steelers should beat the 2-12 Rams. I really don't think the Rams will score many points, considering LaMarr Woodley and James Harrison are finally going to be on the field at the same time. Watch out Kellen Clemens.

Jets 23, Giants 20 Overtime --- I have been to 3 NFL games in my life. Two have gone to overtime and the other was won on a last minute drive. So I don't attend blowouts. Expect a close game. One thought on Rex Ryan, please shut up and just coach, then go eat a god damn snack.

Redskins 27, Vikings 14 --- Pretty simple for this one. The Vikings are not good. They are 1-6 on the road. The Redskins have played well for the past 5 weeks but only have 2 wins to show for it. The skins defense should be able to slow down Adrian Peterson, which is really all you need to do against the Vikings.

Panthers 31, Bucs 10 --- Four weeks ago the Panthers won this matchup 38-19 in Tampa. The Panthers have won 3 of 4, while the Bucs have lost 8 straight and appear to have packed it in for the year. Their last 3 games they have been outscored by 62 points. Hopefully Cam Newton can win me a bronze medal in my fantasy league. Don't get me started on fantasy, still upset about it.

Ravens 27, Browns 2 --- Blowout. I like the Ravens -12.5 very much. They are going to be ready to play after getting embarrassed by the Chargers last week. They are 7-0 at home and the Brownies are 1-6 on the road. This game will be ugly, especially if Joe Flacco still has his stupid Fu Manchu.

Chargers 37, Lions 31 --- UPSET SPECIAL. Maybe not my biggest upset pick ever but they are +2 on the road. I've said it every week, Phil Rivers is 25-2 in December games. It's still December. Go, Chargers, Go.

Eagles 31, Cowboys 14 --- The Dream Team won the first matchup 34-7. They are a bad matchup for the Cowboys and we all know that Tony Romo, unlike Phil Rivers, doesn't have the best record in December games. I think Shady McCoy runs wild and keeps the Dream Teams playoff hopes alive.

Seahawks 21, 49ers 17 --- UPSET SPECIAL #2. The Niners are off a short week and a big Monday night win. I think they have a let down against the hot Seahawks, they have won 5of 6. I also think the 49ers streak of not allowing a rushing TD this season comes to an end against Marshawn Lynch.

Packers 34, Bears 24 --- I'm not sure how the Packers react after their first loss of the season. I'm confident they will win because the Bears are starting Luke McCown, never a good plan. The spread is 12.5, I wouldn't bet on it but I would lean on the Bears because the Pack may start to pull their starters late in the game if they have a comfortable lead.

Saints 35, Falcons 24 --- The Saints have been rolling lately. Why? DREW BREEEEESSSS. Anyway they are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl at this point. This game also means a lot to the Saints because it can clinch the NFC South. The Saints won the first meeting in overtime when Mike Smith went for it on 4th in 1 in their territory, basically blowing the game. I think the Saints win this game and possibly move into the 2nd spot in the NFC.

Last week wasn't my best hopefully Santa gets me some wins. Thanks for reading all three of you.

Steelers at 49ers Recap

That was a beat down the Steelers just received. I'm starting to get tired of losing to the Harbaughs. This loss is going to kill the Steelers. They really could have used home-field advantage. Now they will most likely have to go on the road three times just to get to the Super Bowl. Sure they did that in '05 but that team was much younger. Also the Steelers are only 4-3 on the road. Being the 5 seed in the AFC means a trip to Denver, San Diego, or Oakland in the first round. Then most likely they would go to Gillette to play a rested Patriots team, and then to Baltimore possibly. I don't like the chances they pull that off. Plus the Steelers four losses have all been against teams with 10 or more wins (49ers, Texans, and Ravens twice) so are they really a championship contender or just a product of an easy schedule. To say I'm worried about the playoffs is an understatement.
I love that Big Ben played tonight, even though he probably shouldn't have. This was one of the biggest games of the year. Other than the two picks, I thought he did fine, until the 4th, when the Niners unleashed Aldon Smith. I think the Steelers should give Ben next week off against the Rams or use week 17 against the Browns as a bye.
I am pretty impressed with the 49ers though. They are built like the Ravens. Tough physical defense, solid running game, and a quarterback who can manage the game well at times. It would be interesting to see them get a shot to play the Packers. Their defense could give Aaron Rodgers some problems.
Aldon Smith is a monster. He looks like a premier pass rusher. He beat Max Starks like a drum. I'm not sure why he isn't on the field at all times. I was going to just write one sentence on the kid but he has literally overpowered Max Starks. He's quick, strong, and has great pass rush moves. Sorry, I just went all Mel Kiper on you but I'm in love with him. Can the Steelers make a trade, like right now?
Basically I'm depressed/worried/wish I was hammered so I wouldn't remember this game. Now I have to deal with a few dopes tell me how awful the Steelers and Big Ben are (JOE ANGELICO) even though their favorite team just lost to the Redskins.

Week 15 Recap

What a day in the NFL. Packers lose, Colts win, Giants and Jets lose, and the Browns blow at ten point lead. Oh, wait that last part happens all the time. Sorry Brownies its just too easy to make fun of you and Cleveland in general. This week didn't go as well as week 14. I went 6-7 with Monday night pending. I should have actually had the stones to pick some of the games that I thought may have been an upset. Lets see how Dumb and Smart I've been.

I'm SMART --- Saying the Packers at Chiefs was going to be close one. Sure I picked the Packers but the Chiefs D got after Aaron Rodgers, Tamba Hali had 3 sacks himself, and Kyle Orton threw for 299 yards. Also Arrowhead was electric as usual. I am very happy that the Packers won't go undefeated, I was getting tired of everybody kissing their ass.

I'm DUMB --- What I said, "Titans 24, Colts 13 --- The Colts are not going to win a game this year. The Titans need this game to stay in the playoff hunt. They will take care of business in Indy. (That prediction has I'm Dumb written all over it in the recap)" As I was writing I started getting the feeling the Colts would win. Cheers to the UConn Huskies doing work. Donald Brown III with the huge 80 yard run and Dan Orlovsky getting his first win in the NFL.

I'm DUMB --- I said I had a bad feeling about both New York teams, yet I picked both the Jets and Giants. Dumb sums it up for those bonehead picks. Lesson learned, stick with your gut dummy. However both of them losing sets up a huge game next week in Metlife Stadium, which I will be attending wearing my Santa hat.

I'm SMART --- For the second straight week my Upset Special was correct. T.J Yates looked like a rookie today. I think the Panthers could be an interesting team next season, just give Cam a little more talent along with Jon Beason returning to the defense, they could easily be an 8 win team.

I'm DUMB --- No Tebow Time. It makes me sad. It would have been an interesting game had the Broncos not turned the ball over 3 times. As bad as the Patriots defense is, they do have the ability to force turnovers.

I'm kinda smart, maybe? --- I picked Raiders 28, Lions 27. Final score Lions 28, Raiders 27. Right score, wrong team. I said it could go wither way before. I think Calvin Johnson has become the best WR in the league. He is a beast. How do you stop him? He is too big and too fast.

I'm SMART --- Thank you Chargers. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Maybe I should thank the Ravens also because they didn't even show up tonight. The Steelers now control their destiny to become the 1 seed in the AFC.

I'll probably write another recap after the Steelers game because clearly I'm going to have things to say. Read it, don't it, I don't care but tomorrow nights game is HUGE. GO STEELERS.

Oh, Joe Flacco, the Fu Manchu on you, Not a good look bro. I'm still laughing at that dope.

NFL Week 15 Picks

This week I am not only bored at work but I am also freezing. Its 20 degrees. Where is the snow? Anyways last week went pretty well, a solid 14-1 record. Plus i started off the bowl season with a 2-1 day, so things are going well. Read my picks, don't read my picks I really don't care.

Bills 27, Dolphins 21 --- The Bills have lost 6 straight but Miami just fired Tony Sparano and historically aren't a great road team when traveling north in December. I did just bench C.J. Spiller on my fantasy team so hopefully the Harvard QB does most of the damage against the Phins.

Seahawks 20, Bears 10 --- Seattle has been playing very well lately and Da Bears have not, they lost to Tyler Palko and the Chiefs. That says it all. Marshawn Lynch is going to make it rain Skittles on the road today. I have them winning outright so the +3.5 spread looks very very good.

Titans 24, Colts 13 --- The Colts are not going to win a game this year. The Titans need this game to stay in the playoff hunt. They will take care of business in Indy. (That prediction has I'm Dumb written all over it in the recap)

Packers 24, Chiefs 20 --- I think this game is going to be a lot closer than the 14 point spread. The Chiefs do get after the QB well and have Kyle Orton starting today. So they may be able to put up some points and slow down the MVP a little. I don't think the Chiefs pull off the upset but Arrowhead is a tough stadium to play in.

Bungals 21, Rams 6 --- Oh Bungals, things were going so well. You were 6-2, tied for the lead of the North and then you became the Bungals again. Luckily for you the Rams are god awful and they are starting Kellen Clemens today. However, I wouldn't put it past the Bungals to lose. (I like saying Bungals if you haven't noticed)

Saints 38, Vikings 24 --- The Saints are going to win this game. DREW BREEEEEEES. The Vikings are pretty terrible but last week they almost pulled off an amazing comeback against the Lions when Joe Webb became the QB. Adrian Peterson returns this week, why not let Joe Webb play? Just because Christian Ponder was a first round pick doesn't mean he should automatically be the starter.

Giants 28, Redskins 24 --- I'm actually a little nervous that the Giants lay an egg in this one. After their huge win in Dallas last week it wouldn't shock if the G-men come out flat. The Redskins won the first matchup week 1, 28-14. Plus its a rivalry game so the Redskins should be pumped up for a chance to ruin the Giants playoff hopes.

Panthers 24, Texans 16 --- UPSET SPECIAL. How long can the Texans really keep this run going? Everybody on the team is hurt, even the coaches are going down, Wade Phillips had surgery. I also trust Cam to have a big game, not only for my fantasy team and my upset special now, because he is beast. The Panthers have also been playing pretty well, they blew the game last week against the Falcons, but they have won 2 out of 3.

Raiders 28, Lions 27 --- I have ZERO idea who is going to win this game. I'll pick the Raiders since they are the home team but they have looked awful the past two weeks, outscored 80-30. I can't really trust the Lions either who nearly blew a huge lead against the Vikings. This one could go either way.

Broncos 34, Patriots 31 OVERTIME --- TIM TEBOW. I refuse to pick against TEBOW. Sure the Broncos could be in trouble if TFB gets the Pats off to hot start but lets be serious Rexy Grossman scored 27 points against the Patriots last week so Denver should be able to score and possibly keep pace with the Golden Boy. I also like the +9 for the Broncos. Denver has always been a good home team and thats a pretty large spread for a team that has won 6 in a row.

Jets 23, Eagles 21 --- Another New York team I'm worried for. The Dream Team looked good last week against the Dolphins with a healthy Mike Vick. But I will pick the Jets because the Eagles are only 1-5 at home. As long as they stick with the ground and pound and don't let Nacho blow the game they should be able to pull off a win.

Cardinals 21, Browns 9 --- The QB matchup everybody wants to see, Seneca Wallace vs John Skelton. The Cardinals have been playing very well, won 5 of 6, while the Browns have been terrible, lost 6 of 7. This one seems to be a win for the Cards, who still have a chance to actually sneak into the playoffs.

Chargers 31, Ravens 27 --- I cannot get over the stat that Phil Rivers is 24-2 in December/January games in his career. That's a pretty impressive stat. I also want the Ravens to lose and Joe Flacco to play terrible for crying about the media attention Tim Tebow gets. Bro, you are Joe Flacco you transferred out of Pitt to play at Delaware, you don't get the attention because your team wins games for you. Sure you have some good moments and can throw a great deep ball, but stop crying and play football. The entire Ravens team makes me SO MAD. All they do is whine and complain. Who cares if nobody is talking about your team, just go out and keep winning games.

Steelers 17, 49ers 12 --- That Ravens rant just got me pumped up. I'm a mad blogger right now. Look they just ruined the first lines of the Steelers game. Alright, at least this Monday Night Football is watchable. I don't know if Big Ben is going to play, which will determine the winner frankly because Charles Batch didn't look to good when he was forced to play last week, where is Dennis Dixon? No matter who plays QB for the Steelers, I still think it will be a close game because the Steelers should be able to shut down the 49ers offense. If the Ravens lose sunday night this will be the biggest game of the season for the Steelers.

I think I gave a solid effort on this blog. The only problem is its done and I still have 2 more hours of work. The boredom begins again. Hopefully I picked some winners, I'll write the recap on Monday night or Tuesday.

Bowl Season

The past two years I have gone 16-18 and 18-16-1. Pretty consistent but not good enough. I want winners, preferably 20 this year. Its a high goal but I think I can pull it off. I'll post all my picks here and on Twittski because this time of the year turns me into a gambling machine.

GILDAN NEW MEXICO BOWL -- Temple -7 vs Wyoming -- Temple ranks 7th in the nation in rushing, 256.7 per game, while Wyoming allows 230.1 per game on the ground. With stats like that, you would have to think the Owls run all over the Cowboys.

FAMOUS IDAHO POTATO BOWL -- Utah State -1.5 vs Ohio -- Ohio is 0-8 in postseason games and are coming off a crushing loss in the MAC championship, when they were up by 20 and blew it to Northern Illinois. Utah State is also use to playing on the Blue Turf in Boise.

R+L CARRIERS NEW ORLEANS BOWL -- Louisiana Lafayette +4 vs San Diego State -- ULL is playing close to home, they also have a decent run defense, which is San Diego State's strength. Also how can I pick against a team named the Ragin' Cajuns? CAN'T DO IT.

Bonus NFL Pick -- Buccaneers 27, Cowboys 23 -- If only this game was on Sunday it would be my Upset Special. Sure the Bucs have lost 7 in a row and were suppose to fire Raheem Morris but the Cowboys are 2-4 on the road this year and Tony Romo is only 7-12 in December games for is career. I see the Cowboys collapsing like they always do.

James Harrison

The fact that James Harrison got suspended for his hit on Colt McCoy proves to me that the NFL is on its way to becoming flag football. Seriously Commish, its football, people get hit in the head sometimes. Sure you may have an axe to grind with James because he did say, ""If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn't do it. I hate him and will never respect him." I feel the same way as James. It's pretty clear that the Commish has something against the Steelers.
The media attempts to say that maybe this is the only way James Harrison will learn to change his style of play. ZERO FUCKING CHANCE. He does not care at all. He is a bad man. I know this. The Steelers know this. And I don't want him to change. He gets paid to hit the quarterback. His job is to be a violent linebacker. The Steelers have always been a team that attempts to intimidate their opponents. Look up highlight video's of Mean Joe Greene or Jack Lambert. That's Steelers football and that's the way it should be.
So Commish, you can try to change James Harrison, but it's not going to happen. You are also making the NFL a joke by creating these rules. There is chance in five years every game looks like the Pro Bowl.

Study or write about sports?

While everybody I know is studying for finals, I decided to write about how insane the past week in sports have been. Yeah sure I should maybe study for my Alcohol and Drugs final, but lets be honest I know alcohol pretty well. Don't judge me, just read about sports because they are more awesome than studying.Little of the action this week occurred on the field, other than the Xavier Cincinnati fight, which was EPIC. I am clearly picking the Musketeers to make a run in the tourney. You can't go wrong picking a bunch of gangsters. Also TEBOW created another miracle, hopefully it continues next sunday against the Patriots. It could be tough though since the GRONK will have a few KABOOM spikes.
The three biggest stories though have to be Pujols, Braun, and Chris Paul. I could also add in RG III, Sid the Kid, coaches getting the axe. Christ so much went down. My head is about to explode maybe that's why I'm blogging.
I'll go baseball first. Albert Pujols leaving the Cardinals was shocking. I always thought he would be the Derek Jeter of the NL. But I guess when a team gives you $254 million dollars you have to say yes. The Angels are going to be a tough team to beat but championships aren't given away during the offseason. Just ask the Sox or Phillies about that one. Now to the Hammerin' Hebrew or the Jew Brew or Ryan Braun. Upsetting news that he was using performing enhancing drugs last season. I want to believe it was a mistake, but I don't. Braun adds a long list of steroid users no matter how hard he tries to deny it. I think the MLB has to revote for the NL MVP, especially since Matt Kemp deserved the award from the beginning.
NBA time, the entire Chris Paul situation is a joke. I truly believe David Stern is the worst commissioner in sports. There is no reason a league should own a team. The Hornets would have gotten a great deal with the Lakers. Not equal value to Chris Paul but he's leaving after this year and then the Hornets get nothing. The entire NBA is flawed. The marquee players control the teams. Dwight Howard and Chris Paul control where they want to go and the teams basically have no say. The rich keep getting richer. I'm not really complaining because I'd rather watch Heat vs Lakers than Bobcats vs T'wolves.
I forgot to add, enjoy the Monday Night Football game. Nothing gets me pumped up like watching the 2-10 Rams play the 5-7 Seahawks. Who's idea was it to put this game on Monday Night?

Recap of Week 14

Yeah, so I'm a tad tipsy and I don't care about my Monday night pick because that game is turrible. Here's how I'm smart and dumb.

I'm SMART --- because I just won the Lake Garda weekly pool. Outright winners. Yep your boy did work, all thanks to the Cardinals. So that's a good 40 to 50 bucks. Plus I made the same picks for my dads school, so more money to come? lets hope.

I'm DUMB --- well I'm really not this week because I went 13-1, and my one loss I said I didn't know if the Eagles/Dream Team would show up. They did.

I'm SMART --- UPSET SPECIAL. Yep Cardinals 21, Niners 19.

I'm SMART --- Broncos 13-10 OT. All I said pregame, "TEBOW"... All that was needed to say postgame, "TEBOW".

I'm SMART --- Sexy Rexy Grossman scores 27 points, he nailed it. GRONK catches two TD's, he did.

I'm SMART --- Colts cover the 16.5 spread. Thank you Dan Orlovsky for throwing a TD with 1 second left. I love you buddy. UCONN.

Additional I'm SMARTs --- Texans, Lions, Saints, Jets, Falcons, Jags, Packers, Chargers (Phil...MVP hunt?), Giants (big thanks, straight cash homie)

Anyway, the point has been proven I know my sports. I still don't care if anyone reads this. But you may want to pay attention next week if you want winners, just saying.

NFL Week 14 Picks

I'm bored as hell at work and I kind of wanted to blog something rather than actually do schoolwork. Thus, I came up with the idea of picking every game this week and make crazy statements about them. I really don't care if anyone reads this, so stop reading now if you don't want to (terrible way to get people to read this, oh well). Alright enough of the intro, just read before the games start today and then check back later to see how great, more likely awful, my predictions were.

Texans 17, Bengals 9 --- The Bungals have yet to beat a playoff caliber team, they just got destroyed by the Steelers. T.J Yates has one job, hand the ball off to Arian Foster so he can get my fantasy points.

Lions 34, Vikings 14 --- Sure things haven't been going well in the Motor City, I'm sure Tim the Toolman Taylor is very worried about his Lions. However they catch a break with the Vikings coming to town. Adrian Peterson might not play. I got Calvin Johnson catching two touchdowns. Blowout.

Saints 27, Titans 24 --- Drew Brees has been amazing the last two games, 50-74, 705 yards, 7 TD's, 0 int's. Drew BREEEES. Anyway, they have played two very important night games, so they may go to Tennessee a tad hungover. I think the Titans keep it close and probably cover the +3.5 spread.

Dolphins 19, Eagles 18 --- I'm giving this one a Boomer score. I have no idea what Eagle team is gonna show up. The phins have been playing very well, so I think they will win but the Dream Team might figure it out this week. Who knows?

Jets 14, Chiefs 9 --- The Jets should blow out the Chiefs, but the Chiefs defense is actually very good and lets be honest Nacho Sanchez has not been great. The Jets may end out winning big because Tyler Palko has a tendency of throwing the ball to the wrong team a few times.

Patriots 41, Redskins 27 --- I bet on the Pats -8. I think they win pretty easily but the fact that I'm picking Sexy Rexy Grossman to score 27 points is really a slap in the face to the Pats defense. They are awful. But TFB will find the GRONK at least twice for TD's. Chances the GRONK is hammered as I write this. 100%

Falcons 24, Panthers 20 --- Matty Ice looked pretty awful last week, while Cam had a huge game against the Bucs. Still I think the Falcons are a better team and need a win to stay in the playoff race. But I'll be rooting for Cammy to score a few Td's so he can do the Superman celebration, he is quickly becoming my favorite non-Steeler.

Jaguars 11, Bucs 8 --- Another Boomer score. I would rather watch the Jersey Shore than this game. The Bucs have lost 6 straight, the Jags have lost 3 straight and fired their coach. The only reason I'm picking the Jags is due to Blaine Gabbert and his awesome hair. It's getting a tad long now but I'll stick with him.

Ravens 27, Colts 14 --- I bet on the Colts +16.5, sure I do hate the Ravens, but these are the games where the Ravens come out flat and let a team hang around, so that is a big spread. Plus Dan Orlovsky is starting, so they have a chance...well maybe not. He hasn't won a game since the 2004 Motor City Bowl.

Broncos 23, Bears 13 --- TEBOW

Cardinals 24, 49ers 21 --- UPSET SPECIAL. The Cardinals have won 4 of 5 and aren't completely dead yet. They shocked the Cowboys last week and have the 49ers coming to ARZ. The niners already clinched the NFC West, so they may come into the game with a lack of urgency.

Packers 35, Raiders 17 --- I don't know what the Raiders are. They can look awful one week and then look like the best team in the AFC West the next week. One thing I do know is they are not better than the Packers. 13-0 lock it up.

Chargers 34, Bills 24 --- 5 straight losses for the Bills, Meanwhile my MVP pick Philip Rivers is finally showing signs of life. The stat that he is 23-2 in December/January games is a bettors dream. Catch the hint there, -7.

Giants 31, Cowboys 28 ---- Unlike Phil Rivers, Tony Romo is 8-11 in December/January Games. This may be the most important game of both teams seasons. Eli Manning looked very good against the Packers last week and has always done well against the Cowboys.

Seahawks 20, Rams 6 --- Monday Night Football for the second straight week leaves me no option but to drink. I can't watch this game sober, not happening. I won't remember anything about it other than the score.

Note on the 10-3 Pittsburgh Steelers.
Big Ben is by far the toughest QB in the league. He made to play for the Steelers. Ben is tough and doesn't fall down when hes about to get sacked, like that #12 guy in New England. If only the whole rape deal never happened people may be talking about him in the MVP race, not that it is a race Aaron Rodgers has that locked up.
Anyway it's possible the Steelers go 13-3 and get a 5 seed in the AFC. They would then have to play Jesus in Denver or maybe Oakland. They can win that game but then they probably go to Baltimore or NE. It could be a tough trip back to the Super Bowl. So Ravens please lose a game, thank you.

I doubt anyone read this and you if you did, thank you.

Saint Says...

SAINT'S TOP 10 MOST HATED ATHLETES

10) Kris Humphries
Lets start with Kris Humphries, not only does he play for the Nets but he only averages 5.6 points per game in his career, and somehow he is married to Kim Kardashian. Now all of the sudden he thinks he is the man because he has been on a few episodes of keeping up with the Kardashians on E and is still yet to make Sportscenter. True definition of a stiff.

9) Kurt Warner
For you Titans fans out there, you know why Kurt Warner is on this list. In the 1999 season the only chance the Titans ever had to win a super bowl, Kurt Warner screwed them over. So Kurt Warner had one game congratulations, lets move on with our lives, have fun with your 20 kids and crazy wife.

8)8) Tom Brady
I know that Tom Brady is a winner and has three super bowl rings, but this guy is a baby. True mama’s boy right here, whenever a defensive player gets within 5 feet of him they throw a flag. They made a rule for you because you are so soft. Come on!

7) AJ Burnett
As a huge Yankees fan it is safe to say that I hate AJ Burnett. This guy is just god-awful. Currently 9-11 with a 5.27 ERA. Never has won a game vs. the Red Sox as a Yankee. He is terrible and Cashman needs to just trade this guy away immediately. Did I add he is making $82.5 million.

6) LeBron James
LeBron James was one of my favorite athletes up until the summer of 2010. When he left his hometown of Cleveland to play for the Miami Heat. Instead of working hard in the off season and getting better, he just fled town to join the “dream team” to try to win a championship, which was an epic fail, considering he only averaged 17 points per game in the finals and choked away every 4th quarter. Great role model right here.

5) Stephen Strasburg
Now if this guy keeps it up he is going to be #1 by next year. Not only is this pus on a pitch count every game, he then goes out and gets hurt. Then he has to the nerve to tweet during a little league game that it is pathetic that 12 year olds are throwing so many pitches and throwing curve balls. Bro, you just got pulled after throwing 56 pitches. You are a professional athlete, figure it out.

4) Barry Bonds
So Barry Bonds was the man for a little while, then we all found out that everything he ever did was all a lie and he cheated for every accomplishment throughout his career. In his early days he was a 30 30 guy for the Pirates, fast and had power. All of the sudden at age 36 he found this home run swing and hits 73 in one season. Anyone that takes steroids like this should have their home runs taken away and not be elected into the hall of fame.

3) Kevin Youkilis
Any true Yankee Fan is going to hate Kevin Youkilis. His stupid stance, tapping his toes and barley holding onto the bat, he looks like an idiot. Not to mention he charged the mound against Joba and has a size 8 dome piece. (These comments do not reflect the feelings and views of Brendan Driscoll)

2) Pau Gasol
Now Pau Gasol is someone I would love to run into one day, not because I like him, because I want to tell him how terrible he is at basketball. I have never seen someone complain more about not getting calls than this guy. Hey buddy, this is the NBA you are going to get roughed up, especially down in the paint, figure it out guy. Man Up.

1) Chris Bosh
So Chris Bosh follows LeBron to Miami and now he thinks he is tough? So now that he is surrounded by good players Chris Bosh thinks he can talk trash to people like Paul Peirce and Kevin Garnett? Sorry that just like LeBron you would never accomplish anything on your own in the NBA so you had to run away from the situation and bum off the success of Dwayne Wade and Pat Riley.

2011 NFL Predictions

2011 NFL Predictions

AFC East

New England Patriots 15-1*: They are a lock for the playoffs, frankly they could run the table. Fat Albert and Ocho Stinko are going to have big years. The only question is what the Patriots will do in January. 2 straight home losses in the playoffs.

New York Jets 11-5* : Clearly the Jets have the talent to get back to the playoffs, but that's not the goal for big Rexy. It's Super Bowl or bust, but is Nacho Sanchize really ready to win one already?

Miami Dolphins 7-9 : Chad Henne is the Dolphins issue. I'd put him fourth out of all the AFC East QB's. They were also 1-7 at home last season, they better win some more home games or Tony Sparano might be swimming with the fishes.

Buffalo Bills 5-11 : Chan Gailey is one of the worst coaches in the league. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a solid quarterback but nothing special. Buffalo is still a long way away from getting to the playoffs.

AFC North

Pittsburgh Steelers 12-4* : A very favorable schedule for the defending AFC Champs should help them win the North, but Mike Tomlin wants Lombardi's not division championships.

Baltimore Ravens 11-5* : Can we please realize that Joe Flacco is the most overrated QB in the league. The Ravens will challenge for the division because of Ray Rice, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. Not Flacco.

Cleveland Browns 7-9 : Unlike the Ravens, I think the Brownies might have their franchise QB in Colt McCoy. However, other than Peyton Hillis they don't have many weapons and their defense is very questionable.

Cincinnati Bengals 2-14 : The Bungals are going to suck. Plain and Simple. I kind of feel bad for bungal fans, clearly this organization has no idea what they are doing. Carson Palmer is the only smart one for staying away from Cincinnati. So Andy Dalton have fun getting rocked by James Harrison, LaMarr Woodley, Terrell Suggs, and Ray Lewis four times this year. And oh yeah, I don't feel bad for the bungals, it's hilarious actually.

AFC South

Indianapolis Colts 10-6* : Sure Peyton Manning is going to miss the season opener, but as long as hes only out 3 or 4 weeks, the Colts always win 10 games and have proven they can win this division, so I'll stick with Indy.

Houston Texans 9-7 : Everyone is picking the Texans, I'm pretty sure I have picked them to make the playoffs for the past three years. Not this year Texans, you have fooled me too many times. However Wade Phillips, the new defensive coordinator, will make the defense much better. But I won't get fooled again, hopefully.

Tennessee Titans 6-10 : What do the Titans have other than Chris Johnson? They brought in Matt Hasselbeck, who only played 6 games last year in the worst division in the league. Jake Locker might see the field sooner rather than later.

Jacksonville Jaguars 5-11 : Luke McCown is their quarterback to start the year. That's a recipe for disaster. Last year they ranked 27th in passing yards, 28th in defensive passing yards, and 22nd in defensive rushing yards. They were 3rd in rushing, thanks to Maurice Jones-Drew.

AFC West

San Diego Chargers 10-6* : If it wasn't for Norv Turner being the Chargers head coach, San Diego could easily win 12 games. Phillip Rivers will have the best year of his career and if Ryan Mathews can stay healthy the Chargers could be a scary team to play in January.

Kansas City Chiefs 7-9 : I think the Chiefs have more talent than a seven win team but a tough schedule, with games against the Patriots, Jets, Steelers, Colts, two against the Chargers, and at the Lions, could be trouble for Kansas City.

Oakland Raiders 6-10 : I also think the Raiders could win more than six games, but I guarantee after Terrelle Pryor finishes his suspension, he will be on the field. There is no way Al Davis makes him sit on the bench. That's just the RAYYYDAAAS.

Denver Broncos 5-11 : Play TEBOW. Kyle Orton isn't taking them anywhere. Sure their defense may improve due to getting Elvis Dumervil back from injury and adding Von Miller. But bottom line Broncos, just play TEBOW.

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys 11-5* :Once Jason Garrett became the head coach they went 5-3 with Jon Kitna as the QB. They get Tony Romo back this year, and he has the talent around him to have an MVP caliber year.

Philadelphia Eagles 10-6*: Dream Team? Has Mike Vick ever been to a Super Bowl? I don't think so. We all know they loaded up on talent but the offensive line has questions and Vick has been prone to get injured for a few games, only one season has he played 16 games.

New York Giants 8-8 : It seems like since Super Bowl XLII the G-men haven't been able to put it all together. Plus the fact that Eli Manning threw 25 INT's last year doesn't help their cause in a division with the Cowboys and Eagles.

Washington Redskins 4-12: Rex Grossman is really your quarterback? Really? Have fun winning four games or less. Maybe they can get the 1st pick and get Andrew Luck.

NFC North

Green Bay Packers 12-4* : Is there really any doubt that they will be back in the Super Bowl hunt? The offense is only going to get better with Jermichael Finley and Ryan Grant coming back from injuries.

Detroit Lions 8-8 : Matthew Stafford staying healthy would be huge for the offense, but regardless they have offensive weapons and a decent backup in Shaun Hill. But most importantly they have Ndamukong Suh on defense. The defensive line will get after quarterbacks.

Minnesota Vikings 7-9 : Donovan McNabb may have just been handed the biggest weapon of his career in Adrian Peterson. Remember this team is only one year removed from playing in the NFC Championship. They have a better coach now, in Leslie Frazier, then they did last year in Chilly.

Chicago Bears 7-9 : How they made it to the NFC Championship, I'll never know. But since 2001, they have won over 11 games three times (not including last year), and twice they failed to win 8 games the next season. An interesting trend in a division with the defending champs and a rising team.

NFC South

New Orleans Saints 12-4* : It's hard to repeat in the NFC South, no team has done it since the division was created in 2002. So I'll take the team that won the Super Bowl two years ago and added a Heisman Trophy winner to their backfield, Mark Ingram. He will add a different dimension to an already potent Saints offense.

Atlanta Falcons 11-5* : It could be tough for the Falcons to win 13 games again, but Matt Ryan has another year to grow. This is year is more about what the Falcons do in the playoffs. 0-2 during the Matty Ice/Mike Smith era.

Tampa Bay Bucs 9-7 : The Bucs may be the future of this division, but its hard to say this is the year they win the division with the Saints and Falcons still ahead of them. Josh Freeman is quickly ascending his way up the QB rankings. They are going to play every game hard under Mike Tomlin...uh I meant Raheem Morris. So they have a shot to get into the playoffs.

Carolina Panthers 4-12 : Before Cam Newton got drafted I thought he was going to be a terrible pro. Now I'm not so sure. I think he has a chance to be a very good quarterback, dare I say he has a little Big Ben in him. But right now the Panthers don't have the talent to compete in the tough NFC south.

NFC West

Arizona Cardinals 9-7* : I am fully on the Kevin Kolb bandwagon, for the simple reason he has Larry Fitzgerald. Sure we haven't seen much Kolb since he got drafted back in 2007, only 7 starts, but that worked out kind of well for Aaron Rodgers. So Kevin, just throw it to number 11 as much as possible.

St. Louis Rams 7-9 : Everybody loves the Rams, and they probably should considering Sam Bradford lead them to seven wins in his rookie year. But they have a tough schedule to start the year. Eagles, at Giants, Ravens, Redskins, at Packers, at Cowboys, Saints, at Cardinals. How many wins are in that group? Two, maybe three? Plus they have the Steelers later in the year. Their schedule could doom them.

Seattle Seahawks 6-10 : They only won seven games last year, sure that won the division but the Rams and Cardinals are improving. Plus do you trust Tarvaris Jackson to lead a team to the playoffs? Me neither.

San Francisco 49ers 4-12: Similar to the Seahawks, Alex Smith leading a team to the playoffs? I'm not going to suggest Jim Harbaugh is going to bomb the season to get the number one pick, so he can get his old Stanford QB, Andrew Luck, but I'm just saying.

Offensive Rookie of the Year: Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints -- A hard runner that will get the ball more than you would think. He will take pressure off of Drew Brees and give the Saints a valid running game.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Patrick Peterson, CB, Arizona Cardinals --A freakish athlete from LSU will step right into the NFL and will make a major impact on a sub-par Cardinals defense

NFL MVP: Phillip Rivers, QB, San Diego Chargers -- Phil might throw for over 5000 yards this season. He has weapons all over the field, Antonio Gates, Vincent Jackson, Malcolm Floyd, and Ryan Mathews. Any fantasy owner who drafted Phillip could have a great season.

Defensive Player of the Year: LaMarr Woodley, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers -- Yes this is a homer pick, but I'm gonna look real smart come December. 39 sacks in his first four years, but more importantly his pass defense is improving, two interceptions last year. As long as James Harrison doesn't steal the spotlight by killing someone, LaMarr will finally get his attention. (P.S. if I wasn't a total homer, I'd take Ndamukong Suh)

Coach of the Year: Jason Garret, Dallas Cowboys -- Not many people are expecting the Cowboys to win the NFC East, so if they can top the Eagles and Giants, Jason Garrett will get a lot of credit for doing a job Wade Phillips couldn't handle.

First Coach to be Fired: Mike Shanahan, Washington Redskins -- Honestly it should be Marvin Lewis, but that guy is never going to get fired by the Bungals somehow. I only say Shanahan will get fired first because I have the skins starting 0-4 and similar to the Bengals, the Redskins owner Dan Synder doesn't really have a clue either.

Worst Team in NFL: Cincinnati Bengals -- They have no chance this year. I'd be shocked if they got to four wins. I just hope they get the number 1 pick. Then owner Mike Brown chooses not to pick Andrew Luck because he thinks they have their future QB in Andy Dalton or he will even think Carson Palmer is coming back. Cincinnati is a joke.

PLAYOFFS

AFC Wild Card Round:

San Diego Chargers over Baltimore Ravens
New York Jets over Indianapolis Colts

NFC Wild Card Round:
Philadelphia Eagles over Dallas Cowboys
Atlanta Falcons over Arizona Cardinals

AFC Divisional Playoffs:

New England Patriots over New York Jets

Pittsburgh Steelers over New England Patriots

NFC Divisional Playoffs:

Green Bay Packers over Atlanta Falcons
Philadelphia Eagles over New Orleans Saints

AFC Championship:
New England Patriots over Pittsburgh Steelers -- This pick hurts, but the Patriots offense will spread the Steelers out like they always do. The Patriots know how to beat Dick LeBeau's defense, so the Steelers will need to outscore the Pats. Which is no easy task, lets hope the Jets knock out the Patriots so the Steelers can beat Gang Green again.

NFC Championship:
Green Bay Packers over Philadelphia Eagles -- Home-field advantage for the Packers will be a huge advantage in slowing down Mike Vick on the frozen tundra of Lambeau field. I think the Packers are by far the best team in the NFC and will return to the Super Bowl.

SUPER BOWL XLVI:
GREEN BAY PACKERS over New England Patriots -- No team has repeated since the '03 and '04 Patriots, but the Packers are about to change that. Aaron Rodgers will win his second straight Super Bowl MVP and send the Patriots home win another tough Super Bowl loss after a great regular season.

2011 NFL Mock Draft

Like always the goal is to get 10. The Under/Over is 9.5. Last year I had a career high with 9.5 thanks to me calling Colt McCoy to the Brownies in my bonus picks. Anyway I give myself credit if the player goes to the team I said, even if the pick number isn't correct. Lets do this.

1. Carolina Panthers - Cam Newton, QB, Auburn ----- I'm not a big fan of Cam. He won't be as awful as JaMarcus Russell, but it could be close.

2. Denver Broncos - Marcell Dareus, DT, Alabama ----- The Broncos need a lot of help and Dareus is a beast and can make an impact like Ndamukong Suh did last year.

3. Buffalo Bills - Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M ----- The Bills aren't gonna be good for awhile regardless of who they pick.

4. Cincinnati Bengals - AJ Green, WR, Georgia ----- The Bungals need a QB, but they are to stubborn to draft one. So at least they will have a good receiver for Carson Palmer's brother to throw to.

5. Arizona Cardinals - Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri ----- Kenny Whiz needs a quarterback, I don't think Gabbert is going to be great, but he will be a huge improvement over Derek Anderson.

6. Cleveland Browns - Julio Jones, WR, Alabama ----- The Browns think they found their QB in Colt McCoy so they need to surround him with more weapons.

7. San Francisco 49ers - Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU ----- The most talented player in the draft and a great pick for a team that ranked 24th against the pass last year.

8. Tennessee Titans - Nick Fairley, DT, Auburn ----- They lost Albert Haynesworth two years ago, why not draft another beast DT with character questions. Fairley has all the talent to make it, but I think hes gonna get paid and call it day.

9. Dallas Cowboys - Tyron Smith, OT, USC

10. Washington Redskins - Robert Quinn, DE, UNC

11.Houston Texans - Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri

12. Minnesota Vikings - Cameron Jordan, DE, California

13. Detroit Lions - Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska ----- The Lions are going to be pretty good in a few years especially if they add the Prince this year.

14. St. Louis Rams - Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois

15. Miami Dolphins - Mike Pouncey, OL, Florida ----- I am praying that Pouncey slips and the Steelers trade up to grab him so they can reunite the twins in the Steel City, but my hopes aren't too high.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars - J.J Watt, DE, Wisconsin

17. New England Patriots - Anthony Costanzo, OT, Boston College ----- Bill Belichick is probably going to trade to this pick, their next pick, and every pick they trade for and completely screw up my mock draft. So thank you in advance, you hooded sweatshirt bum.

18. San Diego Chargers - Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Purdue

19. New York Giants - Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama ----- They might trade back to make this pick but with Brandon Jacobs skills declining, Ingram could be a great fit for Big Blue.

20. Tampa Bay Bucs - Da'Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson ----- Three months ago he was the number one pick but his knee might give out on his way up the steps to greet the commish. High risk, high reward for the Bucs but at pick 20 Bowers is a good value.

21. Kansas City Chiefs - Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin

22. Indianapolis Colts - Nate Solder, OT, Colorado

23. Philadelphia Eagles - Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado

24. New Orleans Saints - Muhammad Wilkerson, DE, Temple

25. Seattle Seahawks - Jake Locker, QB, Washington ----- Another bust, but the Seahawks need a QB, they might trade down to get Locker or even wait and try to get Andy Dalton later in round two.

26. Baltimore Ravens - Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State

27. Atlanta Falcons - Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa

28. Minnesota Vikings (Projected Trade from New England)- Andy Dalton, QB, TCU ----- I'm two steps ahead of you Billy. I think the Pats, will trade this pick to a team looking for a QB, since Locker just got taken. Lets hope its the Vikings.

29. Chicago Bears - Marvin Austin, DL, UNC

30. New York Jets - Justin Houston, LB, Georgia ----- Now that Vernon Gholston has officially been deemed a bust, the Jets need to some OLB's like the Pittsburgh Steelers have, considering Rexy sends eight men blitzes all the time.

31. Pittsburgh Steelers - Aaron Williams, CB, Texas ----- I still want Mike Pouncey, but the Steelers also need help at corners. Ike Taylor is a free agent and not getting any younger, Bryant McFadden played well last year but isn't a lock down corner, and William Gay is a third corner at best. Mike Tomlin you better draft a corner or offensive lineman.

32. Green Bay Packers - Danny Watkins, OG, Baylor

Bonus Picks:

39. Tennessee Titans - Ryan Mallet, QB, Arkansas ----- He won't get to celebrate on thirsty Thursday, but he will have a great Friday night.

78. St. Louis Rams - Jordan Todman, RB, UConn ----- I have no idea when Todman will be picked, hopefully its in the third round or earlier, but Steven Jackson can't play forever so the Rams might be looking for an RB in the later rounds.
